    hi everybody!!

    hey i was tryin to reinstall my os and got myself in a mess!! i started the reinstall without a problem but after the install was finish i got an error message that something went wrong (please remember this my first time trying to reinstall anything on a mac is if i same dumb please bear with me ) when i restart my pc i just gets a folder blinking .

    i tried to rerun the dvd but but it won't start from cd drive . is there some way to get the software to run from the cd or boot from the dvd so i can reinstall my OS HELP!!!!

    What kinda Mac and what version OS X? Also is it the original software for the Mac?

    it mac os x 10.5 no it's not the os that came with my mac and it's a macbook. the bad thing is i have work for my company i need to get done and cant without my mac

    If you hold C as soon as you boot the mac, it should run from the OSX install from the DVD drive.

    after you first turn on the Mac.. when it does the start up tone.. you hold down the Option Key.. and keep holding it down until boot choices comes up.. you'll be able to select any bootable device it find.

    Is the DVD at least a "full version" disk, or is it a tailor made disk that came with another mac?
