they will email you with a ups or fedex (cant remember whitch one they use) tracking number. use the tracking number. they are pretty accurate i got mine on they day they told me. there should also be an estimated date in the apple email.

As for me, my status finally changed to 'prepared for shipment' on the LAST estimated shipment date... But then again, I ordered the 7200RPM HDD and glossy screen.

I didn't even see mine at "prepared for shipment". It was "not yet shipped" and then I came home from work and it was shipped.

usually within 24 hours...you have to think in China Time. When you are sleeping, they are working...when your working...they are sleeping.

So don't even bother refresh it thousand times a day...everyone is sleeping.

I ordered mine on July 25th, and it shipped out today. I have a hunch that orders that were very close to the new iLife '08 announcement will have it installed (crossing fingers and toes on this one).

It kind of makes sense, since the only thing that I customized on my MBP order was the hard-drive to the 160 GB version (at 5400 RPM). How long should it take to change only the hard-drive on a laptop? Apple could have shipped it out long before the estimated ship date they gave me, but I believe they wanted to wait for the iLife announcement.
