I read somewhere, if you are a student and join developer u will get upto 20% discount on mbpro. if you buy from Macmall you are gonna get extra about 5% discount. Totally 25%
Is that true ?

The 20% true, but the ADC Student Membership costs $99, and you can only use the discount once per lifetime, and it's only valid on the Apple online store.
-
well, the student will get ~15% discount. so 5%(20%-15%) of $2000=$100. so you'll actually be making $1 profit.
-
Not in the US. The student discount in the US is a dollar amount, not percentage. $100 for the high end models, and $50 for the low end models.
-
Some schools apply "additional" discounts on top of the standard Apple academic pricing.
-
That's true, although I have never heard of it being more than 10-12%, unless its a close out item. I know that in the UK, higher education customers get an automatic 15% discount + 3 year warranty extension on their macbook pro purchases.
-
is there any way i can meet apple CEO, tell him how much i admire him and the macbook pro, and hope he will give me a free laptop ?
-
no that's not possible....in the uk, it's based on a percentage.
how much you will get from discount ?
