i am thinking about buying an iMac because i am so impressed with this computer it kills all Microsoft stuff that i used to love for so many years.
I simply love the Multimedia stuff that you could do with it. Micrsoft doesnt even come close so i dotn know why for so many years i thought PC were way betteri am so ashamed now.
Like many people they all think pc's are better but if you see what Mac could do with multimedia you will drop dead shocked.
Do you think i should get one now or wait later for the price to fall and better hard ware.
thanks in advance

Heres what everybody will tell you. If you can wait, then wait; if you can't, then buy. You can always wait and wait for new technology to come out. If you don't need a new computer right away, then you can wait till they update it again.

well
i was hoping to be informed with what might be coming with iMac within 2 months -
wait till 11th...

If I new, I'd tell ya. But Steve doesn't tell us. But there most likely will be an update in the next 2 months. Probably just a processor bump.
==edit==
On second thought, don't listen to me.

Didnt they just update it not too long ago?
-
i want one with blue ray player
i dont want a macbook pro because i got an Alienware m15x already
but i do need a desktop that could do those incredible multimedia stuff.
BTW why the heck cant Microsoft steal Apple's idea and make their own because Windows sucks so bad with multimedia.
windows cant display more than 50 photos in thumbnail at same time when you try to scrool through photos the system would lag. It doesnt lag under Mac OS
i love it.

buy it now. They just bumped the processor. I'd recommend buying from the apple refurb store as it's significantly cheaper and just as good if not better (each computer is put through a rigorous battery of tests before being sent)
-
yea i would just buy it now if you want to use it now...they were just updated not too long ago...so go for it.
-
ahh thanks guys refurb store is like a used mac yeah? where is the refurb store and would it be safe? how long will used ones last for?

Go to the apple.com store, scroll down, and its on the left hand side. It's perfectly fine buying things from there, my macbook is a refurb and its great.

the imacs were JUST updated! Why would you tell him to wait, lol. Maybe wait til WWDC on monday, there might be new stuff that appeals to you as well...it's a great time to buy the iMac now though.

Well welcome to Apple delivering its 'ordinary' customers only standard/average parts. If you want power if you have to go 'pro'. -

I'm also looking at a new iMac but in Ireland the price is simply too high. They don't have any special educational offers unlike the US, Canada and the UK so I simply can't bear to spend so much on an under-specified system at the present time. Hoping they do something cool at the WWDC as paying €1600 for a system with a Radeon 2600 is a joke, but not a funny one. If they had the 8800 or 9000 series for that price with the educational discount + iPod Touch it would definitely be time to hit the bank machine but until then I'm holding off.

Yeah me too the one we could only get in Australia turned me off
But I am sure there are simpler solutions and much cheaper with the exact same thing.
BTw when you guys mentioned having to go Pro you mean iMac Pro? -
stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
There is no such thing. He was reffering to a Mac Pro. What you should do is get a refurb iMac. Upgrade the ram yourself, and get an external HD, since your buying a desktop you shouldn't have to worry about carrying the drive with you.
iMac do you recommend buying one now?
