the right thing to do, is to wait for people to confirm what the firmware update does... you dont want to upgrade and see the next day headlines : "ZOMG 2.01 BRICKS MA IPHONEZ". if you want to win/pwn your ipod, stay on 2.0

How big are these freaking bugs? The update is 242 MB.

Anyway I hope that it will fix some of the application crashing issue.

Overall, I am happy with my iphone.

i think the new firmware completely replaces the old firmware. in a normal patch you expect only a small number of files to change and therefore a small file size. im pretty sure they just redistributed the complete firmware in this case.

If Netshare can go legit then there is no major reason to jailbreak...There are vitually no apps for 2.0 jailbreak.

The firmware fixed a lot of little issues I was having with the 2.0 firmware. Now my 3G works as well as my first gen iPhone with the older firmware. Sad, how we had to get an update to make the phone perform as well as the older software. I'm still scratching my head wondering how such a sad version of software made it out the door.

they were on a tight schedule, no doubt, and didn't have time to fix everything. i'm not surprised at all. this is expected behavior from any company. the fact that they fixed things relatively quickly is a good thing.
