Apple for the most part is a smart and great company, and I respect them. However, there is one thing that just completely pisses me off. I bought an 80 GB iPod Video, for $400. Now, everyone knows that half the price in it is in its ability to play movies. The reason I got 80 GB of memory was so that I could hold quite a few movies, along with my music. So I pay for my iPod, visit the Canadian iTunes, and guess what? Apple has decided to deprive Canadians of the main feature of their highest end iPod. Afterall, it's called the iPod Video. I no longer respect Apple, and am truly disgusted with them. Anyone else have opinions on this?

The problem is that the movie studios dictate who and where they can sell movies to, and right now, that is very limited.
Seriously, Apple has no motivation at all to not sell movies to Canadians or people in any other countries. It's entirely because they are restricted by the movie studios.
So really, if you're going to be disgusted with someone, be disgusted with the movie studios. Apple isn't doing anything here that warrants losing respect for them.

P.S. Just as a side comment, video playback isn't still considered to the primary function of the current hard-drive based iPods. They're still primarily oriented around music playback (which is why it is the "iPod with Video", and not the "Video iPod"). The iPod is still not really oriented for video playback, hence the small screen and large scrollwheel.
There are rumors that the next iPod probably will be a full screen affair with an interface similar to the current iPhone, and that would be one that would be more oriented towards video playback.
In the meantime, there are other ways to get videos and movies onto an iPod. The Videora iPod Video Converter, for example, will convert movies from most any format for playback on your iPod, and even transfer them to the iPod automatically.

i would be hesitant to buy movies from itunes anyway. they are priced higher and have a lower quality than a dvd you could buy from the store.
if you convert your dvd movie for playback on your ipod, you can also reduce the movie file size without compromising quality (compared to the stock itunes movie played back on your ipod) -
It's up to the consumer to decide whether that's worth it.
But yeah, at least for the time being, DVD's still make more sense. -
Just be glad you have itunes, for many years... thanks to sony, Australia was without an itunes store at all, let alone just missing the movies!
The real problem lies with the rights holders, ie record/movie labels, who (just take a look at universal) don't like the fact that itunes dictates the profit margin, they want the ability to hike the price up when ever they want, say if an album becomes a hit, let's make it for eg $1.50+/track. etc etc.
On the mac side, visualhub is by far the best ipod video convert I have come across.
