I voted yes. It seems a bit snappier, but other than that I can't tell much difference. I do like how you can select a song and click "next up" to play without making a playlist. I'm not sure if the previous version had this feature or not.

For some reason they have the status bar, side bar, and menu bar hidden by default, but leave the option to restore them.

    Ctrl+B to show menu bar
Ctrl + / to show status bar
Ctrl + S to show side bar

Of course this is my experience on Windows 7, not OS X.

    I don't see why you wouldn't.

It's got a less cluttered, better looking UI, and iTunes got rid of a lot of clutter under the hood making iTunes 11 snappier than previous versions.

I am impressed with iTunes 11. I thought that when Apple introduced iPhone and iPod apps iTunes UI was way too busy, there was so many garbage features that nobody used, and it was slow.

This update was long needed, and appreciated.

no cons as far as I can see, so far.

I have not noticed any real advantage over how I used it before, but I do like the preview/overview pane when I single click a movie in my library. The upgrade/update to the newer version went without any issues and it carried over all of my preferences. For example,I have my itunes library on a 2nd HDD and it was still mapped correctly after the update.

I love the new iTunes. I didn't like the lack of the sidebar upon first installation, but you can switch to view it by just going View > Show Sidebar. Once I got that out of the way, I noticed how much better it is. In terms of looks, pristine. I also love the new feature of being able to queue songs (in the "up next" feature). Additionally, and I'm not sure if this was something you could do on other versions of iTunes, but I noticed that when I bought a song, and then moved it to a different folder (I have my own OCD-inspired form of organization and I like to use my own system of folders), in the library, rather than showing that the song could not be found and asking if I wanted to locate it, it seemed to already know where I had moved it.

Does anyone else see all their purchased music now in their Library, even the albums that are still in the cloud and havent been downloaded? Thats my only gripe about it, and why I voted "No" in the poll. I havent had much time to go thru and see if there is a way to turn that off.

I think I understand what you are saying. I see purchased stuff that is in the cloud still that I had since deleted from my Mac. You are saying that you do not want to see that cloud content in your list?

I think you will have to delete that content from the cloud if you don't want to see it in your listing. You won't be able to get that content back though if you delete it from the mac and from the cloud. You can sort your list by stuff that is just in the cloud. That should make it easier for you to identify cloud content that you want to delete.

The thread title and the poll title are not the same thing.

I like it more than the old iTunes, but I still don't like iTunes.

Yep, thats it in a nutshell. I think its silly of Apple to do that - why have the Purchased link in the iTunes Store then? I'm hoping that its something they will allow for the user to disable in a future update. Other than that, I am pretty fond of 11 now

I just downloaded it in case I have to backup my i device to the computer if icloud was too slow at that time. I rarely buy or listen to music on iTunes as VLC is much better than all.

AH HA!! I found it - in Preferences/Store, there is the option "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases". Remove the check there, and those Cloud albums no longer show in the library. Now I can say I'm 100% happy with version 11
