I recently got an i7 macbook pro, and it has iTunes 10 installed.

But, oh well, it consumes from 90% to 130% of my CPU, which is ridiculous. Is there something I am missing? iTunes 10 is really supposed to consume that much processing power?

    Thanks
    Fernando

If you turn on "genius" it will index your information in order to make recommendations. Depending on how large your library is it could be the cause of your problem.

    Oh. I got it.

I had activated "sound check" about an hour before posting (the thing that adjusts volume level in songs, so they are not too different from one to another). And it was still running :p A big library indeed.

    Thanks for the replies
