I saw a video on you-tube.com and it is a free software program. Does anyone here use it or tried it in the past that can say what there experience is with it?

I tried it once. It is cool, but I wouldn't leave my notebook unattended so it is more a sort of show-off to me.

I don't think it is really a security option. Don't leave your notebook unattended. Even those kensington locks are not enough.

Aparantly kensington locks are able to be opened by paper bein folder/crumpled up. Heard a couple people say they saw a vid on youtube or google showing how to undo the kensington locks with a sheet of paper. And after buying one, I see why, those locks are a joke.

And on the even worse side, they won't cover any properly loss unless the cable was physically cut.

Those are only god as a deterrent as is ialertu. When I go to conferences sometimes I am in a room with over 100 people all with laptops. You can't really just packup and run to the bathroom or pop machine all the time. Other people can see them in the open but a cable lock will prevent someone from walking buy the conference area and quick grab one and take off. Same with ialertu. It's not meant for at home or something. They just help prevent the quick takes in public areas.
