i got the 12 inch ibook g4. However, I banged it slightly the other day against my desk and stepped on it twice with the cover closed by accident of course. no signs of damage. did i damage it or proboblly not? not 1 sign of damage. not even a scratch in sight.

does it still work normal..check blue tooth, wifi, cd drive, all ports (usb, ethernet) etc..

my friend had a dog knock over a coke onto his 12''...fried some stuff, would only power up and not show anything. It was taken apart by an computer expert (untrained by apple, but a tech here at school) and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and dried and cleaned etc etc...it started working perfectly, and still works perfectly 5 months later

sorry for the side story :)

apples notebooks can take quite abit of abuse before they take substantial damage. I agree with comets, if it is still working properly, then it is probably fine.

a side story of my own that i read somewhere online (an apple related site i think) where it talked about a powerbook that was caught in a house fire. The screen was badly damaged, but the rest of it made it through and still worked.

Then it is probably fine. The only thing i could see going bad sooner would be the screen and maybe so bluetooth/wireless issues from having stepped on it. But i am assuming that you didn't put your full weight down on it so it should be good to go since its all working right.
