    I personally stopped buying Macs with the 2011 Mac Mini I have. The price is just too high and the inability to perform any upgrades is just unacceptable to me. So for me none of the newer Macs are worth it in terms of specs and raw computing power for the money spent.

    However, if you have OS X apps that are critical and you can't stand Windows a new Mac may be worth whatever you have to pay.

    no one knows, Apple does not release update information early. I suspect there may be a minor spec bump and possibly a small GPU change but nothing even remotely interesting until early/mid 2015 when the new CPU's are supposed to be around.

    and as I said in your other thread, it really depends on what you need and want to do.
