i just recieved my first mac as a graduation gift yesterday, and I have been looking everywhere fr a simple sound editor, hopefully one like wavepad that I have on my pc. I'v tried audacity, but its jus too complicated, and ive tried bias, but its only the trial version and i cant save it the way I would like to. Maybe I just havent figured out garageband, but Ive tried opening up mp3's to edit on it, and it wont let me. So hopefully yall can help me out. All i need is a simple sound editor, hopefully free. Going to college isnt cheap, ya kno. Thanks![]()

Might try out Fission:

EDIT: Sorry, this is shareware too, so it isn't free. Still, you may or may not like it. -
I would recommend just sitting down and learning Garage band if you don't want to buy anything.
To open an mp3 in garage band:
Open garage band and start a new song. It should start out with just a piano track. Now find your mp3 and drag it into the piano track, and voila! -
ohhh ok i see what ur saying....what i was doing wrong was i was trying to ope it up through the menu on the top, and the songs i wanted to edit were unavailable...but hey thanks, that saved me alot of headaches
is there a wavepad-like sound editor for mac?
