uh i had this problem for quite a while and it's been repeating for about 3 times in less than a month
i'm randomly logging in and out of OSX! and the most annoying part is it happens when i play minecraft![]()
is this crap? i tought OS X was trouble free
i suspect it's beacuse of my new mouse (A4 tech X7 anti vibrate), the computer first recognized it as a keyboard instead (it told me to press the key directly left of the shift) but it's a mouse, not a keyboard
then, another problem is the keyboard randomly freezes to a certain key when playing minecraft again. so i walk infinitely forward, altough the problem can be solved by exiting and entering the world save. but it's so annoying
please help, i will +rep anyone who solves the problem
thanks in advance![]()

it's like you log out ( > Log out) by force. i'm not doing anything. it happened by itself

Try unplugging the mouse and seeing if the problem goes away. I have no idea WHY it would recognize a mouse as a keyboard, or WHY it might think that keyboard is pressing command-shift-Q when you performed a certain mouse movement, but if those two things were true, it would explain it.
As for how to make it recognize the mouse as a mouse, you've got me. -

How do you have time for asking these questions when you should be liberating Farbanti?
-
the mouse has two side buttons (possibly for rpg games), but they work w/ expose and "view desktop" (using BTT)
i'm going to try minecraft again today w/ my magic mouse. i'll see if the problem continues

There is a few thing you can also try if you get really desperate, or just want to make sure your computer is going good.
1. Restart and hold CMD+Option+P+R until you hear 2x apple chimes.
This is called a PRAM reset, it clears out any residual data in your memory.
2. Spotlight, type "Disk Utility". Select "First Aid" Tab, Select your main HDD, and do a "Repair Disk Permissions"
What this actually does is change user availability and permissions to each individual file. So when you see drwxr-x--x its actually telling you who can read write and access each file. So lets go in order:
d = Type of file
rwx = Owner Permissions
r-x = Group Permissions
--x = Everyone else's permissions
Please note I just made up that permission chain. anyways I digress
3. Lastly, you can Safe Boot your system. When you start up your computer hold down the "shift" key until you see the apple screen (it doesn't hurt to hold it longer). This will start the computer up with the minimum to have it run. That way you can see if its a program that is messing with the system. To get out of Safe Mode, just restart your computer.
FROM HERE ON OUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW/UNDERSTAND DONT ATTEMPT.
___________________________________________________________________
I do not take any responsibilities for anyone attempting the following steps.
Please note that on apples, you usually just reinstall the OS if you run into big problems.
4. Clear Cache Folders.
There are actually 2 locations. 1 is computer based, 1 is user based.
Computer: Double Click HDD > Library> Caches
User: ~User > Library > Caches (10.6 and below)
Copy the Caches folder and put a "~" in front of it. This will move the file to the top of your folder list, and save the old caches. To be honest, you really don't need to do it, but just in case, why not. Delete them if you don't want them.
5. Clear out Preferences
At this point I can't stress enough, don't mess with your .plist files if you don't know/ understand whats going on with them.
So first I will tell you what they are. Every program saves preferences based on your habits, all of these are stored in your .plist files. This saves everything from server settings to "right click" preferences. When you delete them, the next time the program starts it will automatically create a new .plist. This is very very nice, so its still hard to screw up, but please be careful. And ALWAYs save a copy of the Preferences files. Also its advised to only delete the .plists for the individual problems. Apple usually states that most problems will stem from the users preferences.
Computer: HDD> Library > Preferences
User: ~User > Library > Preferences
Make sure you copy them and rename it with a "~" in front of the file. Then restart your computer. Also make sure that no programs are open other then "Finder".
PLEASE remember that all your preferences will be reset.
These are pretty basic things to do for techs to diagnose your computer, however this isn't a guaranteed fix rather then just a way to figure out what is going on. I haven't given any "apple secrets" away but if you also want to know more about this stuff buy the:
Mac OS X Support Essentials
You can find them on Amazon up to 10.6, and they are pretty thick, but also very informative. -

Apple is not responsible for everything you will install or plug in.
Loggin in and out is definitely not some wide spread problem. I d blame minecraft if it doesnt repeat itself outside of the game. -
I think OSX accidentally recognizes some gaming mice as keyboards, but even though I had that screen pop up I don't have that problem. When I first plugged in my G500 it said it can not recognize the keyboard.
I did not have any issues like you did after plugging in my G500. I did have to set the frequency to 125hz though. But your issue doesn't sound like trouble with a mouse issue at all, it looks like something could be wrong with minecraft or your computer. -

Or... "OS X Lion, the world's most advanced Operating System" IMO this is true as OS X does offer a lot more than Windows and does move technology forward. Microsoft stays very neutral with their system and technology really doesn't move forward at any decent rate.
From a customer standpoint which one sells better? I honestly don't know what you're referring to as far as Apple "implying" their OS is trouble free? There's a lot of advanced technology in the world that's not trouble free. Their discussion boards aren't created by Apple, they are created by the same people on Macrumors and NBR and any other Mac celebrated forums so you're basically calling your own forum members here "mindless minions".
Just think about how Microsoft markets Windows 7. They "imply" it's a more secure system but then they build in Windows Defender (which is a complete joke) and then they offer Microsoft Security Essentials. And the fact that it's free makes Windows 7 even seem less secure.
You can't blame companies for "implying" their system is the best or trouble free, why would the advertise otherwise? It's up to the consumer to understand the reality of any type of marketing. -

There is also a difference between advertising jargon and what you actually get. The iPad was spun as a "magical" device yet it didn't put on my glasses and go battle Lord Voldemort with it. So Apple lied to me then because the iPad really wasn't magical.
I can also point out the same types of phrases on Microsoft's website regarding Windows and Office, visit a Linux distro's website and find some more words of encouragement, read advertising language for a BMW coined as the world's best driving machine, etc. You can't take advertising jargon seriously and anyone who does so will find disappointment with everything.
As previously stated, there is nothing on Apple's website that bills OS X Lion as a completely problem-free OS. It doesn't even imply that on their website. Additionally, those "hordes" aren't there just because Apple said something is magical or whatever you want to accuse their marketing department of coming up with. As with ANY product/company, there will always be blind supporters and there isn't anything that can be done about it. I can go into the Sony PS3 forums and find just as many blind blu-goggle fanboys, go into the MS Windows forum and the same thing will happen, and I could even go into some Linux distro set of forums and have someone spew out 2354798 different reasons why Apple is "the great Satan" and MS is nothing more than a "plagiarismo di plagiarismo." So what? Since when it a company held accountable for their consumers and what does that have to do with the actual end products? -
Advertising language from a company should never be treated as truth. Everything is the fastest, best, most unique if you listen to an advertisement. Apparently BMW is the ultimate driving machine. People with Lamborghinis and Maseratis would like to disagree. Most advanced just means it has some features not seen in Linux and Windows. When you buy a product you should be careful about listening to advertising because obviously the person selling you something wants you to buy it and you pay more for products with good advertising.
Also problem free technology devices don't exist. Even embedded systems (the stuff in your car/old school phones) quit working and those have fail safes and recovery built in everywhere, even the wheel will eventually break down after a lot of use.
There are so many smart phones and devices that say they are the fastest, best, bestselling that you realize these words mean nothing and you should just look at the reviews.
However on topic, OP I would take your computer to an Apple Store. You will get much more reliable help there. The biggest plus in buying a Mac over any other computer is really great onsite support really close to your house. I've seen genius's help people even with the most simple issues like setting up a hard drive so if you make an appointment I"m sure they'll help you out. You pay for the Apple Store service when you buy the computer essentially so you might as well use it. Even though your out of warranty(if you don't have Apple Care) they'll help you as long as you don't need to put in a new parts, I've seen people get help with the black macbook which is really old. I really don't think you issue is with your mouse. It must be something else which would be hard to diagnose on the internet. I could guess something wrong with your os. -
Microsoft's marketing is better than Apple's (OS X - most secure OS in the world, which gets hacked faster than Windows 7) -
