80gb isnt big enough since ilife is so huge and such so im going to have to get a new hd soon.. no biggie as was expected.
the other issue is something i knew but im going to miss having a memory card reader built in like my asus did but eh ill live
so yeah i love the mac and i want to do so much so far ive only been setting it up!!

I'm glad you love your new mac! You should update your sig
-
You're welcome! Be sure to enable the firewall... it's off by default. Oh, and update to 10.5.1!
-
Hey, congrats ceiph and you're very welcome!
Of course, in my usual fashion, I recommend the two links:

And just a note of interest, both AuroraS and I are named Sam. And same city too. And we both have MacBooks.
-
The "S" in "AuroraS" stands for Sam
I'm male, though... for all of you who don't know that (despite the fact that "Aurora" sounds girly) -
. And I never really asked you, but I assumed you were a guy until Gautam brought it up that he thought you were a girl

Oh, and to the OP... I hope you enjoy your new Mac! I'm gonna get one pretty soon. -
waaa? macs dun have memory card readers O_O
(i hope i didnt misread it..>) -
Macbooks don't have built in memory card readers. But a simple Sandisk Mobilemate fixes that.

ah well ill live.. my other thought is earlier today my keyboard stopped responding... a restart fixed it and its been fine since than but any ideas why my keyboard wouldnt respond?
-
Did ALL of the keys stop responding? Or just most of them?
I was checking out a MB on display today at my campus Apple dealer... and I noticed that the MacBook had an unresponsive keyboard; all of the keys except the arrows and delete key did not work. -
it was all the keys

I wonder how you'll feel once the "honeymoon" is over and you've been using OS X for awhile
Not to ruin the thread, but I'm on the edge of just wiping OS X off my MacBook and throwing Vista on it. -
so part of me asks why!!!! but as i was about to type this my keyboard froze again....lol for some reason this time holding down a key worked but this isnt right
-
That's an odd problem. I'm having a weird keyboard problem too... although mine's totally different. Several keys on my keyboard require noticeably more force before the key registers.. (most notably DELETE, A, and the ' key)
I'm gonna see if I can get it replaced tomorrow. -
Hmm...that is so odd, a keyboard going out intermittently. And it's all of the keys, not just a few?
Do you happen to notice anything else running when this happens? If possible, see if you can get a CPU/Memory monitor running and see what happens when the keyboard quits working. Also keep track of what apps are running too.
its better than i imagined!
