the sensor for the keyboard lights seem to be poor. I can be in a dark room and it will come on an hour into sitting there. also it doesnt let me turn the lights on if im in a well lit room. Seems like i should beable to turn them on at anytime. The only setting i found was in keyboard and mouse>keyboard tab. This was to turn off the auto detect. Changing this setting made no difference.

Is there anywhere else i can find settings for the lights?

You can adjust the keyboard lights with the F8, F9, and F10 keys. You may also need to press Fn depending on the settings you've configured in System Preferences --> Keyboard & Mouse --> Keyboard.

i know this, but when im in a room thats well lit those keys don't let me turn it on and off.all of them give me the circle with the line going thru it. In low light rooms those keys work, but when i dont turn it on with key it doesnt come on by itself. I have it set to detect

The ambient sensors for both the screen and the keyboard aren't the absolute best. I still find that keeping them on is useful more often than not, but I agree that they really need some work.

If it helps any, the sensors are to the upper sides close to the speakers.
