There are a lot of places that will do it. You may be able to find a place locally that does laser engraving.

I do not want to put any permanent thing on my macbook pro, just my personal feeling.

I think that's awesome. If I had a great vector graphic, I'd love to see it on my 15" MBP. Having this done is a lifetime commitment (at least for the item being engraved!), plus this really personalizes the item for you, so that will probably reduce resale value.

Depending on how cool the engraving is, it could increase resale value. It is more likely to decrease it though.

Depending on whether the buyer actually likes the way you engraved your MBP :p.

I guess you are right I mean you might put something on there and not like it the next week. I think this is much better if you do it on a Ipod, but I would still give it a shot. What program would you use to make the design?

but i can't imagine not liking it unless you picked a bad design. You just gotta be sure you like where it is and what it is. Start with smething small. As soon as I get a mac ( next year maybe) I am hoping to do this.

Yeah, I guess you could pick a universally accepted design...like maybe cool graphic waves and such. Everyone loves those :D.
