Which of these will run World of Warcraft better? Both will have 2GB of RAM in them. Both running World of Warcraft in OS X Leopard.
Macbook 2.0Ghz core 2 duo, 2GB RAM, 950 GMA
iMac 1.8ghz PPC, 2GB RAM, Radeon 9600

That's actually a hard one since WoW seems to run faster on Intel Macs than just the difference in GPU would imply. However, with the multithreaded OpenGL pipeline available to PowerPC in Leopard (it was Intel only in 10.4.8), I'm pretty sure the iMac G5 will still be faster overall. Certainly the Radeon 9600 is faster than the GMA 950. In fact, even the Radeon 9200 which is a DirectX 8.1 generation card gives the GMA 950 a hard time in actual gaming, even though the GMA 950 supports Core Image acceleration while the 9200 doesn't.

The iMac without a doubt.
You can't even compare the two in terms of gaming performance.

Didn't see the PPC part.. In that case it's hard to say. I think they would be close.
I would probably go for the Macbook due to the C2D cpu. -
Awesome. My g/f had a slower windows notebook and I had the macbook as spected above.
she now has the iMac so we're going to put 2GB of RAM in it and she'll be able to play it better.
It only has 512MB in it right now and amazingly it runs Leopard pretty good running multiple programs at the same time. Heck it runs better with the newest OS then her other notebook did trying to run the current OS of Vista.
macbook GMA 950 vs iMac G5 9600?
