    Hi,
I got a new SR blackbook. I notice only recently that once in a while on the left side of my mb there will be a ticking noise that is faint but certainly noticeable. I suspected that it was the fan, so I dled smcfanControl to test if It was the fan. And when I turn up the fan the sound gets more noticeable. I removed the program and tried warcraft3 to see if its really the fan or the software. Surprisingly, even with the fan spinning really fast, I only heard the noise once or twice. (it is more frequent when I am just surfing the web and doing whatever non cpu intense tasks). Now I am really worried that I have screwed up my mb's fan with smcFancontrol. I wonder if the built in hardware test checks for fan problems too. Thank you very much.

P.S I ran the extended hardware test, but it couldn't find anything wrong with it, but even as I am typing I can hear the ticking sound... this is bad.. and now it disappeared for 3 seconds before coming back again
