I had my macbook for about 7 monthes now and it keeps randomly shutting down. Theres this "click" noise right before it turns off. Usually after it shuts off i turn on the power and turns on again but sometimes it turns on and about 2 seconds later shuts off again.
Whats wrong with my macbook?! and i don't have apple care so is my macbook finished?!

Is it overheating? I doubt it, but try feeling the bottom of the notebook.
As well, is the click a mechanical click, like from the HD? Or is it a computerized click(like from the speakers)? -
it should still come with 1 year standard warrenty
if that is void, you will likely need to just put up with, or get it fix or a new one, depends which one is cheaper...
it sounds like a motherboard or bios issue... so that could be an expensive repair...
hope your 1 year warrenty is still valid -
It is tough to say with so little information. I doubt it is software related, but try resetting the PRAM for kicks. If it is hardware, it could be anything. The first place I would look is a bad stick of RAM. The next would be HD or logicboard. If you have some extra RAM lying around try it see if that fixes it. As for AppleCare, you still have hardware coverage, you just don't have phone support. You can send it in, or you could call in and get AppleCare since you are still in the first year.

This is a known issue with Macbooks. Firstof all reset PMU and if needed PRAM as well, it should at least give you enough time to download and install the updates. Then upgrade the SMC and OS stuff. This should fix it. If you still have RSS (Random shutdown syndrome) after that, then do take it to a Repair Center, they should exchange the logic board/heatpipe, depending on the case.
