I just had a few questions regarding the components of the new MBP. 1) what kind/brand of SSD does it use?
    2) by how much would the 2.8ghz processor be faster than the 2.53ghz one? how much more heat would the first one produce?

    Thanks a lot

    2)

the 2.8ghz processor is not any faster than the 2.53ghz processor (unless you are actually maxing out your processor).

but in all likelihood, for normal stuff, you will never know the difference. even for games you won't ever know the difference.

now, in the extreme case, we can call it 10%.

I'd have to agree from a performance perspective the difference is small if any. The SSD would make a better upgrade though it's expensive.

I'd save the money and buy an intel SSD, the Samsung SSD is not bad but for a 100$ more you will get a intel SSD with about twice the performance I think.

But the best thing would be to wait 1-2 years and then buy a SSD as by then the pricings and storage capacity will be a lot better.

So apple uses the Samsung SSD? What kind of performance does this have? >100MB/s?
