Does anyone know what type of connector (if there is one) I would need to get my new MBP to connect to my TV? All i have on my Tv is the (composite??) three cables red, yellow, and white. I thought this this might work but I called and the tech guys said it wouldn't. :(

    Thanks!

Here's the cable from Apple's website. You should be able to get it at your local Apple retail store if you live near by one.

Ok so I got that to work for picture, but I assume there is another cable I need for sound? Anyone have a recommendation?

Computers are bit different than say just hooking up your DVD player to your TV. Generally with computers it's just for video mirroring to your TV. At this point you have to connect an audio plug into the headphone jack of your Mac and connect the other end to your stereo or TV input. Any local place should carry the mini plug/RCA connector.

no. RCA like that is an analog connection.

I think you can get a plug that will allow you to go from a mini-jack to coaxial digital output (optical digital is a TOSLINK connector, and I don't think the MBP has that)

Do you know if it would even matter since I have this older TV?
