over 10 years i have been windows-only user, but recently my lab gave me
a chance to have my own mac system.

i decided to get mac book pro and .. wow it is really..
    1) easy to use
    2) very stable

since i got parallels too, the transition isn't hard at all.
and all i do in windows, i can do them in mac so everythings good.

i was somewhat worried about heat issue, but its not that hot.
( i should say its similar to my dell 1405 )

however, the hard thing for me is little things.
for example, what is ⌥ sign? how do i type this from keyboard?

do you mac gurus recommend any online resource or site for new mac
users? ( that has information about those little things)

The ⌥ key is the option (or alt) key on your keyboard. I presume you keep seeing it pop up in help files and hotkey entries.
