Rofl, macbook touch? Um...I don't think everything's cool just because it can work off touch. The ipod touch is awesome but now its on a macbook? =/
If they look anything like the ipod nanos, I'm going to throw up. -
I<3RAM (not going to bother finding that symbol
), I would be assuming the MacBook Touch is a tablet (not convertible, just a tablet computer), so I think that makes it more feasible.
October 14th is a possibility! -
Ooh yeah it probably is a tablet. Most bad-arse tablet evar!!!
-
i'm really looking forward to that. i'm thinking on getting a wacom cintiq, but an apple tablet could be even better, if they do it right.
i hope in this october event they really put it together. the ipod event was very unimpressive. excluding the touch, the design for the rest of the line is starting to look quite dated, and they don't seem to be trying to fix that at all. that's very disappointing when it's apple we're talking about.
besides, the design of the new vaios is some serious competition, they look as good as any mac. -
A tablet would be interesting indeed, but at least give me updated macbook and macbook pro designs.

Touchscreens are awesome on laptops. It makes things so much easier when I'm driving to poke at my maps, or to poke my fuel injection settings. That way I can concentrate on driving, rather than where the mouse cursor is.
The one and only downside to a touchscreen... I keep poking my 22" LCD on my desk every time I get done using my laptop, because I keep forgetting that it doesn't work like that.

Your car is a difference situation. Judging by your avatar, I see why you'd want a computer in there.
But for regular use I cant imagine using a touch screen laptop...it'll be way too behind with what I can do with a mouse. -
Lot's of people use tablets. But there is also a lot more that don't that's why I don't see it happening.
-
well apple has a history of niche products, so is actually very likely.
-
And i would love to see a macbook with some kinda dedicated gpu and normal HDMI (dont think that will happen) and maybe something else, but it should be able to play Nba, madden and cs on avarege+ settings...(wuz someone playing them on current mb, not mbp)

I think now that there's a MacBook Air, the MacBook is more likely to get more powerful, as the MBA covers the "weight and size is most important" category of 13.3-inches.
new macbooks on october 14?
