Well, you can always try to show your frustration that your $2000 notebook is showing such wear so soon and you're not happy and stuff...but technically, that is a cosmetic issue and I don't believe Apple's warranty covers cosmetic issues, just technical issues.

If you're really concerned about it wearing out, I know theres a silicone skin that you can put on the keys, and apple has them on their site.
That would help with the wear, and probably make it less susceptible to spills/dirt etc.
I saw one on someone elses mbp, and it actually looked pretty nice.

I thought missing letters on keyboard keys was a badge of pride.

But, guys, on a lighter side, how is it possible to have the letters rub off so quickly--I thought these were meant to be everlasting, unless one has tips of fingers made of sandpaper??

Are the letters not engraved into the keys? and then filled with color? Why not just paint them again?

From looking at my mbp, I think the keys themselves are clear, and then apple paints them, then may use a laser or something to get the letters. Or they may mask them when painting.
Thats the only way I can think of, that would allow the backlight to shine though.
