    Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a good source online for MacBook Pro parts? I've got a 17" early 2011 MBP with a noisy left fan. Sounds like it needs replacing.

    Thanks!

Try disassemble the fan and spray the bearing with Jig-A-loo/CRC

iFixit sells OEM replacement fans for about $50 - $60 USD. Their website could at least give you a part # to search for buying elsewhere.

You can also find aftermarket replacement fans for about $20 on Amazon.

I wonder what's the difference between SUNON and DELTA, I looked at amazon and for 13/15/17 MBP and most of them is SUNON, instead of the regular DELTA.

Better bearing maybe? I remembered that iFixit found a SUNON on a 2008 17" and saying it has maglev bearing (?)

Only if the seller is using "or best offer" in their listing.

And if you're comfortable forfeiting any sort of protection that eBay can afford (and as a buyer you get lots of it), that's your prerogative.
