    If you are wondering about Apple's Wi-Fi Technology, the newest is referred to as "Airport Extreme". It is based on 802.11g and allows transfer speeds of up to 54mps. This is backwards compatible with 802.11b hotspots, but will only provide up to 11mps in these situations.
