i was having some freezing with my macbook, so i did i force quit, and when i turned it back on, everything got reset. im missing everything from my menu bar, all my widgets are gone, my bookmarks are gone, and teh font on this site lookes wierd, plus who knows what else might go wrong. luckily tho, i dont think i lost any apps. is there any way i can get my stuff back?
and if your wondering, i had to do a force quit because as i was trying to shut everything down because i couldnt get the screenshot shorcut to work and i got the beachball. thanks in advance for the help.

I've had the same issues with my MBP. Are you using the FileVault program? I turned mine on before I knew any better and I've been told that FileVault can cause some of these issues. As soon as I get another external hard drive I plan on wiping my HD clean and starting over w/out FileVault. I'm hoping that will stop problems like what you are describing from happening.

k, thats the problem. thats why during setup of your account it says to make sure that what you chose for your home folder is what you want.
it pretty much resets the account when you rename your home folder. your original home folder should still be on your drive. -

o well. as ive said before i ll just re-install everything once i get the external drive.
