    installed win xp on my mbp 2.4 ghz,15 inch led, and screen looks so much more vivid in xp than in leopard, in fact it looks way better in xp,

    Pics? It could be due to the calibration of the screen under OS X.

    controlled by gamma lites...

    er, it's prolly just the gamma, and or calibration...

    System Preferences -> Displays -> Color tab -> calibrate button

    Follow the instructions and you should blow your socks off. This can also be done with the nVidia control panel on the system tray in windows. It can and will look awesome in both Operating systems.
