yes... I haven't noticed any problems, but some have had battery issues, but they'll be fixed in 10.8.2 from reports... which is out soon.

I think that the amount of prevalent bugs in ML are far less than when Lion was first released. With Lion, I had to perform make an installation DVD and perform a fresh install as upgrading from SL caused poor performance on my early 2011 13" MBP. My mid-2011 MBA came with Lion pre-installed and upgrading to ML went much smoother. In fact, it went so smooth that I don't have a need to perform a fresh install of ML as my boot times have actually decreased (though they were already pretty fast but a decrease of 2 seconds is still a decrease) and I have had less OS freezing issues (even with my MBA with pre-installed Lion). I recommend upgrading as it is only $20 and, to me, the performance increases are worth it alone. I have hardware that supports AirPlay monitor mirroring so that was another huge bonus for me.

For the mere $20 that it costs to upgrade, I would definitely upgrade. Just having the thought of "I'm on the latest and greatest" OS update from Apple justifies the cost.

Of course, there are a multitude of advantages and I have yet to encounter someone who has experienced significant system slowdowns or disappointments with Mountain Lion.

Mountain Lion is quite an amazing OS I have to say. It's been rock stable, not a hiccup to be found, at least for me and I love the new feature set. Ties in perfectly with the work I do.

Yes. Definitely yes. Best version of OSX ever as far as I'm concerned. I think the bugs have been overblown, and nobody can accuse be of being a Cupertino Kool-Aid drinker (see the sig). It runs fantastically on my wife's MBP 15 (late 2008).
