Item number?

C'mon someone tell me,

Based on specs, that is a MB470LL/A.
By the way, fellow forum member, haquocdung, has also just listed his exact same model MBP for sale in the MarketPlace section of the forum:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=423528
In the unlikely event that your ebay bid doesn't work out, you might want to consider buying the MBP from haquocdung because his is a great price. Good luck. -
hey okay , he accepted my offer of US 700 including shipping( so basically im paying 295 for shipping now). he said its in perfect condition everything, but im concerned because the seller has no feedback and the price seems really low compared to the poster on this forum. is there like a catch here , or should I go ahead with the transaction? please let me know
-
can i always get my money back from paypal? the seller seems like hes from german
-
Anyway, congrats on your purchase. I'm very sure you'll love your new MBP. -
US 700 in total
-
Do you think its a legitimate auction or most likely I should refrain from making payment, I want to buy it as long as I know I will get it you knoww... lol hm
-
I honestly have no comments on your question.
I wish I knew the answer....
I wish I knew...
Good luck in your decision.
-
You can retract you bid before the action ends, google it. But once it ends and you are the winning bidder, you are legally required to pay, and will have to fight with ebay/paypal to get your money back.
Personally, I think it might be a scam. -
okay thanks, well i have made the payment, i will let you people know how it goes if i get the tracking number and stuff
or if i have to file for a dispute
-
yes, report here to tell us what happened...i hope everything goes fine..
-
this site will give you a rough estimate
http://www.mac2sell.net/ -
A good example would be my previous unibody MB (MB467LL/A). That web site said that my MB is worth $1,200 & I ended up selling it for just $850 with extra goodies & shipping fees included.Of course, I would have wanted to get more money in the sale, but unfortunately, that's the best I managed to get.
-
these sites often either overestimate or underestimate the resale value of our macs...
-
I msged the seller when he is going to ship the macbook. He confirmed receiving payment and said he will ship it today or tomorrow and provide me the tracking code. It seems like its for real. I just hope nothing will be wrong with the laptop, he did say it's in perfect condition.
-
Good luck.
-
sounds like he's real...normally you never hear from scammers again once you have sent your money...
-
the pricing seems way too low to be real, hopefully it all goes well, and there aren't undisclosed problems with the laptop.... but he could also just be trying to move a hot one out quick too.
-
yeah may be it's a hot one...or may be it's because he bought it a t a cheap price and does not mind losing some money on it...

Damnn, i think i may have run myself into some problem with that purchase. I am supposed to track that shipment with Canada Post once it arrives in Canada. But apparently it arrived in USA because the tracking number works only on the US postal service website, and I called them, and the lady said since it came to USA, it was not supposed to be for Canada. I don't know if it is some address error which is highly unlikely. Not to mention the seller deleted his account and isn't replying to my emails either. I was thinking initially if it went to USA, then it would come here but the lady said if it was for Canada, it would not come to US. I guess I will still wait couple of days and see what happens.
But never buying anything online again, the waiting period itself is horrible, only more worse when you know you might not get your item in the end. -
report the matter to ebay...
-
You've been scammed. Contact eBay ASAP, did you use a credit card or paypal?
-
I just called DHL Germany now, it's hard to make them understand in the first place, but the lady basically confirmed that shipment is for an address in US and not Canada because otherwise it would just come straight here.
I paid with my bank card using paypal. For some reason, it was not letting me select the credit card option in paypal so I paid with my bank card and Paypal took out money couple of days later, do you think that was on purpose from seller or I just happened to not have been able to use my credit card at that time for whatever reason. -
try to contact ebay for further support...
-
These are the tracking numbers, this one works on the german website dhl.de 581506193036
This one CL666781670DE is for USPS, works on their site, if the item arrived in canada, it would have worked with canada post. -
If you live in Ontario (not sure where you live) it should of landed in Mississauga or Concord and then been delivered to your house from there. I don't get why it would go to the US. Even if it the package does get to you, I doubt it will, it's probably fake. Contact eBay, do not wait a couple of days. They seller would not of deleted their account if they where legit. Also contact your bank.
If something is to good to be true, it probably is. -
I contacted my bank, it was no help. So I just called paypal and made the dispute she said the seller has 10 days to respond to confirm shipping to my address, otherwise I will get my money back on the 11th day. I just wanted to confirm this item was covered under the buyer protection program, and she said it was. I didn't know this but she said almost all items are covered unless it's motor vehicles and stuff like that. As long as I get my money back once, I'm never buying anything off ebay again unless its a very reputable seller. For now im just happy to know its coveredd and I likely will be reimbursed .
-
Thanks everyone for their help. Just want to say I got refunded from paypal 2 days ago, it only took them a day after my claim to refund me my money, its in my account already, so I guess it was a pretty obvious scam lol.
-
That's good to hear, I've heard some horror stories from paypal and trying to get refunds.
-
congrats...that feels good to read a real story which has a good ending...
someone help me quickk
