It's not a stupid questionat all. I think that the average time for battery on a mainstream platform is probably about 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Clearly, large desktop replacement laptops have much lower times, and some laptops have battery time in excess of 5 hours.

On the question of how top extend these battery times, many processors and other compnents come with clock reducing features built in, like Intel's Speedstep, which can reduce the clock of the processor, on the fly. By doing this, it can save power.

Boy that is a stupid question.

I'm just teasing you, it's not. Macs are a bit different in terms of burning so your question is justified.

There are a number of ways to do this, one you can do the rightclick > Make burnable folder and add the files in there and burn. I'm not sure if it will make it an audio cd, havent tried it this way yet.

use iTunes, its the music player. just do a new playlist, add in the songs you want and than hit the Burn button in the upper right corner. This method is recommended.

Or use the disk utility in the utilites section of Applications

    UPDATE:

LOL now a battery question. Yeah just turn on your display to show up in your menu bar for quick access to display pref, when you go on battery just adjust brightness there, its determined by that mostly. The CPU comes second.
