    like, the resolution i guess. so wen i stream it to my xbox it looks like dvd quality.

    No. You can't upgrade quality. You can increase size, or add certain effects that may make it look better on a tv, but "quality" can only go down from the original file.

    That is unless you have that awesome CSI software where you can take a 64*86 image and blow it up to crystal clear poster size in order to see the perp... Enhance

    If you clue us in on what your source video is, we can do our best to help you preserve the quality...

    However, as system_159 said, video can't be upgraded, it can only be filtered to appear better on certain displays.

    Yeah, it's really not worthwhile to upscale video.

    You can encode video using HandBrake, VisualHub, Popcorn, QuickTime Pro, etc.

    As system_159 already pointed out though, you will not be able to improve the quality of the source video.
