    does anyone know how i can exactly check if an macbook has less then a year on it? i heard something that you can check the validation code on the box, is this true?

    Well, if it is a MacBook, it has no more than 2 months since they came out in May.

    Not sure exactly what you are after here, but the one thing you can easily find is when it was manufactured. Just look at the serial number, the two first digits will be where it was manufactured (most likely a letter and a number), the next is the year (6, obviously) and the next two is which week it was manufactured.

    Not sure if this is what you wanted, but that's what you can easily find at least.
