walk in to a apple store, not when they are busy, get a sales guy to come over by him/her self, then if they ask you if interested, yes I am but, I might wait as my brother or friend etc is back from holiday, as he is a student and will get the 10% discount for me, or is it true that some edu's get 15% as I have seen that or something, or you can ask the person directly- can you get it for me, 25% off, as all apple ppl get one product pr category at 25% off, used to be at least.. you get 15%, they get 10%, £100-150 is not to bad for them..
or befriend one, sounds dodgy hmm -
If I were you, go to the store, and click the student section, it will tell you the direct costs.

The student discount varies slightly. Higher education institutions, such as universities get more discount than other institutions. But yeah, it's generally around 10%-17%.
-
It depends on the Uni you go to... and your haggling skillz ;-)
-
10% is the base, might vary depending on what particular institution you study/work at but I wouldn't expect any more than that in general.
