    is it safe for me to put my macbook into the neoprene case and take it around with me while its asleep? or will it overheat?

    I put my macbook in my macbook case in sleep mode all the time. Haven't noticed any issues with it yet. Just make sure your bluetooth mouse is off, otherwise it might wake up in the bag - which is bad.

    only if you let bluetooth devices wake the computer

    but yeah, carrying it in sleep wont harm it. thats what sleep is for.
