Is this a white macbook? , if not what model.

There were some known issues with the palmrest area on the older macbooks wearing prematurely, Apple was apparently being fairly lenient on replacing them. I would not say your chances are 100%, but I'd put them better than 75%. An Apple store would be able to tell you for sure.
They don't replace the entire macbook, only the damaged pieces. The palmrest area is apparently fairly easy for them to replace. -
it should be replaced because this is a defect with the white macs. apple wil definitely replace this free of charge.

Tinderbox (UK) is a macbook

Yeah, Apple would fix that unless you're really unlucky and get a very unfriendly rep at the Apple store.
You could also just call Apple care and ship the machine to them for the fix. -
I had a very similar problem on a white macbook and Apple took care of it, with no questions asked.

Yep. Good friend of mine had the exact same problem with his white MacBook. NO trouble getting the palm rest replaced. Took less than 20 minutes before we walked out with a new palm rest area. The reason this happens is because the rubber bumper above the screen pushes too hard down on the affected area, causing it to first indent a little, and then push through the plastic palm rest.
will apple fix my mac
