    windows to mac osx - ccleaner equivalent?

    Hi,

    I just recent bought a mac. however, I have always used a pc. On my pc I have ccleaner. Does mac need a program like ccleaner? if so what software should I get?

    Registry cleaner, among other maintenance things.

    If you want a free application that works like Ccleaner, i personally use OnyX. However, if you are willing to spend money on a better application, CleanMyMac is a better option.

    I used OnyX too, you can't go wrong with it. It's free and very light on resources.

    luckily this isn't as important as it is on Windows (since OSX doesn't have a stupid registry), but OnyX is still a good thing.

    I agree with Onyx. But don't do anything that you aren't sure about. Under normal uses, OSX needs nothing like ccleaner. It takes good care of itself.
