Airport on my macbook says that i'm connected 100%, and everything is working, but i cannot seem to access most webpages or even sign into chat clients.

    Any advice?

edit: when/if i am getting on other webpages it's after a very, very long wait, however loading onto this forum was very quick.

You sure you aren't connected to a network that needs a user login, like at a university or college? If it is your internet, unplug the router from the modem and directly connect your notebook via ethernet and see if the internet works then. If it works, it means there is something wrong with the router. If not, then there is something wrong on your ISP's end.

I know this is already fixed but i'd just like to point out to anyone having issues with not only their internet access via ethernet or airport but also access to certain websites or any kind, http or https etc that OSX has one of the best testing utilities around for diagnosis of such problems. The 'network utility', just type 'network' into spotlight, will give you access to the ping command (to see if your making contact with your router or a web address like google) and the traceroute command (tells you all the places your request goes to before it gets to the website you wanted). These 2 commands can save you a lot of downtime with your connection by telling you whats actually failing (if your router isn't responding then reset it, if a website is down, or if a connection to a foreign site cannot be reached due to another isps failure the traceroute will fail and show your where it all went wrong). Two minutes looking up the troublesome web site can save your an hour calling your isp (and the phonebill) to be told the same thing. Additionally you can also see if your gaming speeds are less than they should be (ping times too high etc) and arm you with info before calling your isp, some of which will try and shrug you off as most of you already know from experience. Its one of the friendliest utilities around to deal with problems like this and can help everyone from tearing their hair out or pulling apart the furniture to get at the well hidden router. Enjoy.
