A friend will be visiting Hong Kong next week, which are the good stores/shops to visit to purchase a iBook & a IBM thinkpad. Where I live laptops cost 30-45% more than the US prices.

I did a google search without much success. I do know of the apple on line store in Hong Kong, I might get a better deal elsewhere.

    thanks

Go to the Causeway Bay stop on the MTR, then find the mall with the HMV store in it (sorry, can't remember the name of the mall, just ask the locals for help). There are several upper floors that are just computer shops, the topmost floor has 4 or 5 Apple dealers! I bought a bunch of accessories when I visited last spring.

I did some digging, the name of the mall at Causeway Bay is "Windsor House." Once inside, you'll need to take the elevator up to the floors where the computer shops are. I think they start on the 7th or 8th floor! I bought a spare battery for my PowerBook my last trip there, came in handy for the flight home! [8D]
