Every company overestimates battery life. 4:15 is pretty good, though.

I can get about 5:20 with wireless on and 6:30ish with wireless off. So your machine is capable of getting better life. Try going into energy saver and playing with the settings to tweak them a bit more. Also have the bluetooth off if you are not using it, that will also drain the power faster. You might also not be on the dimmest brightness level. The brighter the screen the lower the battery life.

I guess if you have done that, maybe you have an extraeneous process eating up some processor time and lowering the life abit.

I find that apples battery predictions to be quite accurate.

I believe so. The Powerbook does have better components than the iBook does, but they come at the cost of battery life.

Yes, the ibook gets slightly better battery life over the powerbook. However, at the current revision of the ibook, the 12 ibook is near identical to the 12 in pbook. The only real differecens are gpu, cpu speed, and harddrive size and speed.

    Edson:
You don't have settings on full or anything do you? Because my other friend has a two year old pbook 15 in, and he still can get around three hours on the aging battery. If your settings are on low, maybe there is a process using alot of processor time and hence killing your battery. Or maybe you got a bad battery.
