Anyway to get both to work? My friend is having trouble with it, she just got a macbook and she wanted to set up her yahoo account with mail, it seems she can receive emails but she cannot send them.

Yes, I know Yahoo offers pop forwarding for 20 bucks a year, but she doesnt want to pay anything, so is there an alternative?

I know there are some programs for windows that you can use as a server or something, like yahoopop or something like that, forget what its actually called. Anyway, anyone know?

she HAS to have a paid yahoo account, like 20$ a year.

cant do it otherwise. There are ways around it, but they also cost about 20$

wow didn't know that.... i do recall you can foward without that yahoo plus.. if not tell her just get a gmail account or even an msn account will work. Y is she stuck on yahoo... or if money is an issue go get a domain name for 4.94 a year and get the free email address there that way you have your own emial addy like. www.johnnysmith.com your email would be [email protected]

Yeah I guess I'll just tell her to ditch the yahoo account, I just thought there would be a simpler workaround I guess.
