my battery is almost dead so i was wondering this
i am wondering how are the cells connected
is it like if one cell is dead then it cuts the power for the others
so lets say i remove that dead cell and have less battery power but usefull battery

Usually the controller chip will go into a failed state and kill the battery internal control circuitry.
