i am having some dificulty with installing the chipset driver
the problem is when i try to install the driver it says that it's finished but actyally it is not
in the readme file there are some options for forcing , overwrite to install the driver

    which option should i run
i've been runing the -overall option (not sure what actually updates ... it says that it updates all devices but what's "all")

chipset installs the driver for the usb device too right ?
the thing that i am messing with the chipset drivers is becouse my mouse latelly started to disconect and conect on it's own .... and it is really annoying especially when playing games
i have tried the mouse and it is not faulty on another computer
right now i have uninstalled usb drivers and windows installed it's own generic drivers and it is working fine

so which option should i run to install the chipset drivers

What i did was run the installer from a command prompt window using the -overall switch. It did install the latest up to date versions, some "up to date" version of the drivers for devices aren't so recent though. When i updated, it was a pain to remember exactly how to navigate directories in command prompt to get to D:\Utilities & Installers\Installers\Drivers\Chipset\ then finally type in infinst_autol.exe -overall

Also, yes the chipset is responsible for controlling the USB as well as well as pretty much everything that isn't directly hooked directly to the CPU, including pci-lanes.

yes i know that i need to run in interactive mode from CMD
i don't know what is the difference between -overall and -overide
also what is the latest chipset driver ? 9.3 ?

edit : when i run the -overall command screen goes black when updating the drivers - is this normal ?

Yes, the screen will go blank at one point, but you should still see the Intel installer for most of the process when installing the various components up to version 9.3.

Yeah, 9.3 is the latest one, i just checked, don't worry even if it says for chipsets series 6 in the installer windows, it'll install version 5 drivers.
