I just got a new battery for my G73JH and after about 3 weeks its not working.

This shows in the battery indicator.

Here's what HWinfo shows about the battery.

The laptop shuts down when I unplug the AC adapter.
I tried uninstalling the ACPI Battery in Device Manager but still like this.

    Running Windows 8 x64

    Please help.

Try taking the battery out and leaving it unplugged, wait a few minutes, and then replace it and boot up the machine on battery power.

If you do not have another battery to test with then I would have your retailer replace it.

Check if pins are clean from oxyde. On battery and on laptop.

I just use the battery for about a week before deciding to use AC power.

There doesnt seem to be anything out of the ordinary about the pins for the battery and laptop.
