i am expecting G750JM with 4gb of ram
i would like to upgrade with at least 8gb or 12gb
so on what i should be careful when choosing the ram and would any ram get into dual channel ?
i would like it to be identical so there wont be any compatibility problems
    any opinion on this ?

I have the G750JZ (Which appears to be the same Motherboard/CPU Chassis, just a different MXM Card), Which has 24GB Right now. Since my modules are 3x8GB and there are Four DIMM Slots you should have the same options. You should have no problem mix and matching your RAM (Different speeds, and different capacities).

You can test that by moving your memory to the other slots and seeing if it boots ok.

I think you should be getting a quad core, not a dual core. Do you know which model CPU you'll have installed?

Edit: Never mind, I saw on your other post its a i5-4200H 2.8 2 cores (Intel Core i5 4th gen.)

Let us know how you get on, the old dual cores could not run two banks per channel but I thought the new ones could, this will be a good test.

Cool, looks like it's a holdover warning then that needs to be updated.
