Yesterday was the most terrible day in my life. My G73 was running on battery just fine, but after that, I did a thing I will regret for the whole of my miserable life: I forgot and took out the battery without plugging in the AC adapter, that means there was no power for the laptop. It did shut down, and ever since then, there has been so many weird things happened with my beloved G73.

After the improper shutdown, my G73 just couldn't boot to "user loggin in" screen; it got stuck at the starting windows. I have tried Safe mode but it also got stuck after loading the system files.

After a few times restarting, it could past the starting screen, but then a huge red "ERROR" popped up, it said "can't find recovery.bat".

Next, I made a windows 7 disc and booted it up, had a high hope that I could run some repairing/fixing, or even worse, did a fresh install. However, after running some basic repairing stuff from the disc, got the laptop restarted, thing was worse than ever.

Now I got stuck up at the first Asus logo, and can't even make to the starting screen, all things I can do is accessing bios (pressing F8 doesn't work anymore).

I'm totally f***ed up/lost/desperated at the moment, for I got a huge college a$$-ignment due on Monday, and all the work is on the fricking laptop which doesn't work. That's why I really need help from you guys; I would try anything to have it back. Thanks in advance.

hmmm you can maybe take your harddrive out and place it in another laptop and copy the files you need.

Or you can buy external sata hard enclosure and place your g73 harddrive in it and get the information out u need on it.

or buy USB TO SATA & IDE Adapter and get information off the harddrive

as for getting your laptop working.... deal with it some other time, after you get your assignment done.
