I have a 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma tv in my dorm room. I have been using it as a second display for watching videos and such. The laptop I had prior to my G73JH worked perfectly.
Now, when Im using HDMI output on this laptop, running a 1080 resolution on the TV results in the image being zoomed the edges being cut off. (I cant access the menu bar at the top of a browser window when it's maximized. And when video is full screened it cuts off the edges as well.
If I use lower resolutions, it works fine, and just centers the image but doesnt use the entire tv.
Has anybody else experienced this problem on this system or any other Laptop? I've tried using Windows and the Cataclysm Control Center to modify the output resolution, but have had no luck.

Its on the CCC make sure your overscan is at 0%.
Though for me it sometimes defaults to being zoomed out not zoomed in so your TV could also be doing an overscan correction so make sure its not. -
Where in CCC is that option? I cant seem to find it.

Nevermind, I found it. It's sort of dumb that they have 2 "Configuration" screens for each display. You think they'd just combine the two.
Thanks for the help. -
Open up CCC
Graphics Menu -> Display Options (you should see both monitors listed here)
On the bottom of that window, you will see both monitors again. Right click on your HDTV and click on "Configure".
You'll then see a tab for "Scaling Options" and you can change the overscan to fit your TV. -
Yeah I had this settings too. We just adjusted the settings on CCC..
(G73JH) HDMI Output zoomed on 1080p HDTV.
