    Hi,
I've started to play a game but i'm having huge screen tearing each time i move. (for information its cave story) so i searched for a vsync option like i usually do if it happens in a game but... the isn't one.
SO there is two solutions :
-to lessen the refresh rate from 60hz to 50hz , but it's stuck at 60 hz in either windows screen options or in ati catalyst control center.
-desactivating hardware acceleration, which is unaccessible because the button in screen option/troubleshooting is grayed.
    any ideas ?

Could you use the AMD GPU Clock Tool to force your gpu to a lower clock, to thereby not get such a high fps count, that results in screen tearing?

even at 300/400 (instead of 700/1000) i still have 50 fps in game (which is the max and not 60fps , its an old style games with low graphics. but thanks for the suggestion

ps: if i lessen the clock too much the computer freeze and i have to reboot

Use 3Doverrider that comes with RivaTuner. I use that all the time with game thats done have vsync options or some games like Darksiders where the vsync option dont do jack. Works perfectly...fixed any and every screen tearing issue i had. Wish i had this before i played the Witcher though..played the whole game 45+ hrs in all is screen tearing glory.

    RivaTuner

well looks like forced vsync in rivatuner did nothing but forcing 50hz refresh made things a bit better at least (in riva tuner )
