I have the Asus G750JX and I have a horrible problem with my battery. I haven't used it for like 2-3 months because I play with the AC cable plugged in not to damage my battery. I wanted to update my BIOS today and I need my AC and battery plugged in to do that (the battery needs to be at least 20% charged). I've found out that my battery is at 0% and when I hover my mouse over the the little icon at the bottom it says 0% available (plugged in, charging) but after like 3 hours of charging it still says that. I've tried a lot and nothing works. Please help.

With the system turned off take out the AC adapter and the battery for a minute or two then plug it back in. If it still doesn't charge after then check the condition of your battery, download HWInfo (portable version is enough) and check the Smart Battery status for wear levels.

From the screen pic wear levels OK, the cycle count is high though. Try this, shutdown the system and take out the battery. With the AC only switch it on and let it boot to Windows. In the device manager under Battery, right click on "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" and uninstall it. Shut it down and disconnect the AC adaptor. Then put in the battery then the AC adaptor and boot to Windows again.

There might be a problem with the charging circuit. You can try the aforementioned method for a longer duration of time to ensure the current is thoroughly drained from the EC chip; remove the adapter and battery, press and hold the power button for 3 - 4 seconds, then leave the laptop alone with no power to it for several hours (overnight, or even up to 24 hours).
If it's the charging circuit on the board, it will need to go to Asus for warranty repair.
You're welcome to use this utility to monitor things as well.
