I repackaged it with a self-extractor, since some people here do not know what a 7zip isI also wanted to get it on a reliable mirror.

Fixes: MLAA will not enable with some games.
I tested the package, and installs fine here. If you have issues with it not detecting your card, uninstall Win 7 and run Ubuntu.

wow....sry but if you have to do that...how is this worth the risk?... -
Does this install like a normal one?
-
Yes, it's a complete package, includes even the addons.
-
Always up as a driver package guinea pig.
Installing now. Thanks for the fast mirror Chas. -
Okay the install worked perfectly fine so I tried the MLAA with a few games and it seems to work but my performance is cut in half when I turn it on as opposed to having MSAA on. :x
-
You did turn off MSAA first, right?
-
-
Is this a desktop set modified to work on mobility or was it released specifically for mobility chipsets?
-
It's a desktop hotfix modded for Mobility
-
Seems to work here.
Thanks for putting this package up.
What is the difference besides the INF modification (I mean, letting the desktop driver being installed on mobility chips), between a desktop-modded and "genuine" mobility driver ?
I guess either none (hello, nVidia) or performance optimizations for mobile chipsets so they generate less heat ? -
more like NONE
fyi: getting the nice PCI-E speeds with this set. -
-
Anyone got any notable performance increases / benchmarks they can post?
-
Driver installed fine. Ran a Vantage bench with stock clocks.
With the 10.10c Ruckus posted, I got P8304.
With this 10.10d hotfix, I get P8276.
.
For reference, I get P8279 with 10.6, and none of the recent drivers from 10.8-10.10WHQL scored more than 8300 on stock clocks for me.
No notable performance drops in the games I play though. With MSAA enabled, JC2 runs fine. My videos still get screwy when I play them with MSAA enabled. -
Just discovered that MLAA does not play well with forced Direct3D Triple Buffering! My frame rates were very low at first, but once I disabled D3DOVerrider everything got nice and smooth. Your mileage may vary, but thought I would share nonetheless! Pretty impressed so far with this driver set. Thanks Chastity for sharing!
-
so tripple buffering is the issue? Well that's no good, I use that to get rid of screen tare.
-
If you want to get rid of screen tear just turn on vsync. vsync and mlaa work great together. It is vsync, triple buffering and mlaa when things start to get herky-jerky.
-
Has any1 tried these with WoW? With the new game patch everyone reported FPS increase on their desktop VGA, but I experienced FPS decrease on my G73JH :/
-
can someone post which is the best driver becouse i am really confused the newer the driver the slower i get in performance
i am using 10.10 from ati's website and for 840/1100 + 155mhz FSB for the CPU i can get around 9300 maximum
people with lower then my clocks on the core get around 9500?!?!?!?!?! with same driver 10.10
any idea? -
Overclocking the 720M is a waste of time with SetFSB. You get better performance on stock speeds and letting TurboBoost do the OC work.
-
You would overclock the i7 720QM say if you were using a HD5870 desktop card, then the i7 would be the bottleneck. -
-
what about the ati catalyst? which version
guess i am on my own here
thanks for the cpu info -
I just started playing this weekend and have to say, DA:O exceeded my expectations. I tried playing earlier as a mage and it sucked. But with DA2 coming soon and gamers continuing to say DA:O is the best RPG they have played since Morrowind, I gave it another try as a Warrior and Rogue and have to say it's awesome.
I'm going to go with Rogue Duelist this time around. Warrior is not as fun to play. -
Just curious as to whether you need to disable driver signature enforcement to use this or not.
-
You don't need to disable driver signature enforcement.
-
As for which classes to play, I can probably all 3 classes equally well. As a mage, I've done Spirit Healer / Arcane Warrior combo. Pretty near invincible tanker. I am planning to do a DPS Mage next. I am currently playing a Rogue Archer (who just hit lvl 20 today) with Bard / Assassin, and I am building up her dual weapon skills. (She's the one in my avatar) For a Warrior, I'd like to do a Dwarf, just to be different. -
Tried SC II, using normal 2xAA and 2xAF, I got about 35fps, with MLAA: it's only 20fps max.
Even in FIFA 2011, the performance is rubbish 30fps using MLAA, and perfect 60fps using 2xAA and 2xAF.
So, to me, it's better using traditional AA & AF.
Or Am I missing something?? -
I suspect MLAA is still a work in progress.
-
Thanks very much for this, I ran into issues trying all the other "tricks" to getting the other hotfixes installed and had no success.
-
-
I reverted back to 10.10c as these set of drivers cause my display to go all funky.
Transparency issues and video playback issues. 10.10c's are rock solid with a higher bench score than the 10.10ds. -
BumblBoner, is this the one you're using? I was on the ATI site and I came across the 10.10c hotfix and contemplated installing it at home. See link below:

I guess we should wait for the official mobility compatible version(?) for optimal performance and quality -
Alistair now has the superior dragon plate, nearly invincible and picked up the dwarf as my berzerker and me as dualist. Haven't encountered a really tough fight yet except for the high dragon. -
MLAA sure is a work in progress... AutoCAD looks crazy with it on! The window selection tool makes the plan appear to melt. Weird.
It is interesting to see how crummy of a job it does to clean up the vectors compared to traditional AA. -
Hey guys; I've just got a G73JH-RBBX05 Refurbished for barely two weeks now. At first, I got no problem with the stock driver . But to improve the performance, I updated the CCC to the version 10.10d with driver version 8.7 and the perfomance drastically changed. I only get 80 - 100 FPS in the MW2 with stock driver, but with the CCC 10.10 , it raised to 100 - 120 FPS. The obvious thing happened next is that I got GSOD ( duh ) , I tried to update the VBios next and the GSOD end. Then a new problem rose , whenever I closed the lid , or put the laptop to sleep , after waking up the GPU core clock dropped to 405 MHz and I can't do anything to make it raise again . No choice but to restart the laptop. The screen turned weird too, the color was not excactly right , I cant explain it well cuz of my limited English . To be simple , it's like testing the vertical color line . Of course , the performance dropped as well .
I tried the 10.10c, 10.10d but it't still the same . Can someone help me ? For now , I'm still stuck with the stock VGA driver and I am really pissed -
Do a complete uninstall of ATI, run the ATI Crap Cleaner, reboot and reinstall 10.10D.
-
Morrigan goes around in mana/stamina regen gear.
-
I have Wynne since Morrigan disapproves of everything I choose. And I used the mods to make the females more proportional and Wynne looking like she is young 30s instead of old 50s.
And I discovered a master dualist warrior champion/berserker is by far the highest dpsing melee so far. Beats rogue dualist/assassin.
Also was thinking, DA:O probably would run a lot better if Bioware had chosen Havok or created their own physics engine. It's ironic that Valve's modified Havok is so much better and yet allows for 120 FPS.
And the cloth in DA:O is among worst I've seen. It's shiny like it's all metallic and looks way too stiff, like rubber. Again where Valve knows when to use bloom and how to make materials look right, Bioware should have consulted them instead of Nvidia...
